In this Campsite France – Gironde experience you will be cycling around the Arcachon Bay, a lagoon on the sunny Atlantic coast. You cycle on flat paths through pine forests, along old railway lines and the ocean. – Minimum cycling distance between the three sites are: 39, 32 and 22 kilometer.-
At Camping Panorama you can climb the highest sand dune in Europe, the Dune of Pilat, 114 meters !! or take a dip in the rough waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Evening with excellent food in the restaurant on the beach at sunset, the sea disappearing sun. Biganos, at our campsite La Marache you canoeing and bird watching at the delta of the Eyre. Each year, more than 250 different species of birds together, so bring your binoculars. On the way to Ares cycle along old railway lines and fragrant pine forests to enjoy the tranquility of Camping La Cigale thereafter.
At Cap Ferret you can swim in the Atlantic then by boat to make the crossing to Arcachon.
The golden sand beaches, safe routes and countless wonderful rest and play areas make the move from the area around the Arcachon basin an ideal cycling area for families. Bicycle camping packages This tour can be booked in the summer as an 8- or 15-day cycling camping package. During the 8-day cycling package you will stay every 2 or 3 nights at the three different campsites. During the 15-day camping package, you have nice time to do nice things because you are staying for a long time, four and sometimes five days on all of the three sites. The first day of cycling from site 1 to 2 on Sunday. On Tuesday, you cycle to the 3rd camp and on Thursday you cycle back to the campsite where you started.
Accomodation in 3 different campsites, all of them with swimming pool, in fully equipped and furnished tents in case you want to cook your own meals, but you can also enjoy the restaurants and other facilities and services provided by the campsites. It is an easy and fun bike tour for families.

Pyla sur Mer – Camping Panorama du Pyla

Sheltering beneath a pine forest, at the foot of the Dune du Pyla, a nationally-listed site, you’ll be filled with wonder at the panorama before you: the Arcachon basin, the Arguin sandbank, the Dune du Pyla, the forest of Les Landes.

SATURDAY: Arrival in Pyla sur Mer

You can park your car in the camping during all the week.

 

SUNDAY: Bike from Pyla sur Mer to Biganos

Bike to the northwest and start to discover the Arcachon bay and some of its geological natural preservet areas.

 

MONDAY: Biganos

Biganos is located in the heart of the Regional Park of Landes de Gascogne, the perfect places for relax and chill.

 

TUESDAY: Bike from Biganos to Arès

 You will bike along the Arcachon bay until Arès, across the typical fisherman villages.

 

WEDNESDAY DAY: Arès

Discover the Natural Reserve of Prés Salés, natural area of St Brice or more Arcachon bay or just rest in the campsite

 

THURSDAY: Bike from Arès to Pyla sur Mer

The last boat. You will bike to the south, and this day you could swim in the Atlantic Ocean before take the boat and arrive Arès to Pyla.

 

FRIDAY: Pyla sur Mer

Visit the region, its cities or just rest in the site.

 

SATURDAY: Departure

Departure after breakfast.

All prices are per person per week in euros.

Children are welcome:
Children under 5 years (0-4 years) at baseline v / d trip get a discount of 40%.
Children up to 11 years (5-10 years) at baseline v / d trip get a discount of 10%.
The discounts are already with one full paying participant.

 

The rate includes bike trails, Bike-Fun package with regional and information tent, gas, campsite fees, electricity, refrigerator and luggage (maximum 2 pieces per person) on the trek.
The rate is excluding booking fee of € 21, – per booking, mandatory cleaning fee of € 25, – per route (payable on booking) and tax (payable on site).
The week runs from Saturday 14:00 to Saturday 10:30.
You are liable for damage to or loss of bicycles. Possibly take out travel insurance. Sometimes the bikes at the end of the trip on Friday evening already retrieved.
For the price of the 15-day tour you take 2x the price of the 8-day trip, but the 2nd week you will get 25% discount.
If desired, it is possible to pick you up and take you to Girona Airport for € 125, – per booking. Up to 4 people. If you have more people than the rate on request.
